The inevitable has finally happened. The third season of the show Kyle XY is now over, and so is the show, as the ABC network had declined any other season of the same.
The season finale was not well received much by fans I say, it lacked depth and so much so that it did not even appear like it was the final episode of the show. If you go around and conduct a survey for all the fans, I am sure more than 85% of them will say that they have been let down by the makers of the show. One of the possibly suggested reasons for such an ending has come up that the producers and the makers of the show were not fully prepared to end the show just yet. They had simply not anticipated that the doors will be closed on them so very soon. So, they abruptly had to close down the story lines, and this led to some cliff hangers, as they are being called.

Not to mention here, the number of questions, the fans were left guessing for. Yes, the very same fans, who had resorted to various forms of persuasions to convince the networks for another season of Kyle.

The female fans were in for a pleasant surprise though, as actor Matt Dallas, appeared shirtless, and with only low waist jeans worn beneath. And that was quite a skin show, I must say here.

Of course, the show will be missed, for it was a numero uno teen sci-fi drama at one point of time. Its fan base is phenomenal, due credit for which should be granted to the wonderful actors on the show like Matt Dallas who performed so very well with his cute blue eyed looks.

Not to forget here the story line, which never appeared like too glossy or too much over the earth, like it happens at times with other shows of such genre.
So possibly with lots of loose ends left up in this episode, should the fans press forward for a spin - off perhaps?

I mentioned in one of my previous posts about the novel based on our much liked show Kyle XY, which was named Kyle XY: Nowhere to Hide.

This book is somewhat linked to the first season of the show, with a lot of focus on the real identity of Kyle, the boy without any memory and without any navel. October is the month, in which the whole story is set, with the Halloween and Kyle’s days at high school getting a special attention. The other important characters of the show also have their fair share of space in the plot, especially, Lori and Josh Trager, who are Kyle’s siblings, Amanda Bloom, the first ray of romance in Kyle’s life, and Hillary who coaches Kyle on the nuances of Halloween. An interesting dimension is brought in by the ever mystic, Tom Foss as he goes on in his attempts to safeguard Kyle.

I always recommend this book to everyone. The story starts off in a classroom of the high school as Kyle is all tense and upset about the whole Halloween thing, including the Monster Mash and the costumes to wear even as Josh and Nicole try to explain to him the traditions and the excitement of Halloween.
That’s it. I am not revealing the whole story, and ending the suspense woven up so well by S.G. Wilkins. But the best part of the story is that it compliments the show just so very well. You really feel the connection through all the 192 pages of the book. The parallel story that runs with the school life of Kyle is of Tom Foss who is maintaining a very close tab on the Trager family and Kyle in particular, but in a very queer and mysterious fashion.
Meanwhile the show is now over with its third season, an update on which will be soon put up by me.

The ABC network has decided against a fourth season for Kyle XY.

Bad, no? After three successful seasons, they are going to end it. Rumors were going around for some time, and there were reports from EW.com as well but now the confirmations have finally come from the network that they are culminating a show which was perhaps their first ever original series.

The season three is to feature just ten episodes, and is already nearing its halfway mark. The reason given by the network is slow ratings for the show. Although, this show in the past has been one of the highest rated series, attracting about 2.6 million set of eyeballs in the period between July 2006 and July 2008.

I simply can not understand why such a thing is to happen.

So now you speak up? Is the decision a good one? I am going to miss the guy without a navel. What about you?
