I am sorry to say that Kyle XY is no more. It has been confirmed officially. I exactly have no idea about what happened after “Bringing down the House” (the tenth episode of third season) of our dearly loved TV series, Kyle XY. The last episode was aired on March 16, 2009. And you all will be surprised to know that the episode earned about 1.66 million viewers. Isn’t this figure very high?
Kyle XY had a run of three long seasons. And those three seasons consisted of forty-three episodes. If we further classify this, the second season of Kyle XY had twenty- three episodes whereas the third season just managed to reach the episode10. Unquestionably fans of Kyle XY were expecting further seasons after the third season of the series. But all the desires of the fans got washed away when the tenth episode served as the season three finale and the creators did not gave any hints about the future seasons. It had been about four months since the last episode was aired and the network has now declared that there will be no fourth season of Kyle XY TV series.
Third season of Kyle XY was not as good as the previous seasons were. That might be the reason, why the fans did not show much interest in its episodes. The pilot episode of the season was ‘It Happened One Night’. It was aired on January 12, 2009 and it attracted a total of about 1.500 million viewers. But in the succeeding episode, entitled Psychic Friend, Kyle was shown attending a psychic fair which fans didn’t like much as the response for this episode was much lesser than the previous one.
And from second episode onwards, a gradual fall was seen in the total number of viewers per episode. This has always been a mystery for me why the viewers lost their interest in this season of Kyle XY. You will be astonished to know that the ninth episode of the third season got a total of 1.28 million viewers. These might be the points why the creators would have ended the show.
